New

Even babies struggle against the womb, their known universe, the same old place. But how uncertain the journey to come must seem.

It is time for something in my life to change, time to welcome something new. May I say, though: I wish I knew just what I was struggling for. What can I hope for? It would help me know the battles I should be prepared to fight, the ones I should breathe deep and glide on through.

  2. Yes, it's that anticipation of not knowing what's coming next that is difficult. Wouldn't it be nice if we knew what was coming so we could brace ourselves? But then again, knowing what is coming might not always be a good thing! Very thought provoking post...

  4. I second Old Grizz - it's not a dress rehearsal, we just have to adlib the best we can and prepare every way we are able, hoping that we can cope with the challenges. Good luck :)

  5. Part of the blessing is not knowing. Lessons don't pack the same punch if you prepare for them. I like how your wrote this. Very thought provoking.
